希望無窮

今天到 Central Market 買 Yogurt
在入門處看到種子出售
而且是 packed for 2009
好久沒在市場買蔬菜
就買幾包蔬菜種子吧
雖然還有很多庫存
但每看到我沒有的品種
還是會忍不住地選購
一包在手
帶給我滿園菜色的無限想像
就像買lottery
一劵在手希望無窮
但我寧可買菜籽
因為菜籽的夢想成真率遠高於lottery

今天買了
1.Swiss Chard -Five Color Silverbeet Seed
This specially selected mix has brilliant stems and leaf colors that create a dazzling rainbow in your garden and on the table. An improved color mix – it includes red, yellow, pink, orange, and white stems topped with green or dark maroon leaves., often with contrasting deep red veins.

2.Kale Red Winter Organic Seed
Red Winter is an improved version of Red Russian Kale. This rare strain of kale has VERY tender, sweet leaves compared to other kales. The reddish-purple stems and veins, wavy margins, and foliage that resembles oak leaves makes Red Winter almost dramatic-looking in the garden! Young leaves are very attractive in salads and mesclun mixes. It makes a nice garnish and can be used in any dish that calls for kale.

4.Swiss Chard Ruby Red Rhubarb Seed
Sweet and tender rhubarblike stalks are decorative and tasty
Crimson stalks and veins. Crunchy and mild flavored. Tastier than spinach.

5. Cucumber Armenian Seed
A wonderful burpless slicing cucumber, Armenian is slightly sweet, crisp, and never bitter. It has a gorgeous light green thin skin with shallow ridges and does not need to be peeled before eating. (This variety is best eaten fresh and is not recommended for pickling.)
